Dirty Double Gravel Race

June 5-6, 2021

Join us for the 2021 Dirty Double hosted by Preston County Parks & Recreation!

Picture
 The Race: June 5-6, 2021
This is a two day race totaling 72 miles, rain or shine! Along the route you will encounter paved roads, tar and chip roads, gravel roads, dirt roads, and steep downhills.
Day #1 (36miles) - https://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/3667279411
Day #2 (36 miles) - https://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/3667283782

Preregistration will open on January 1, 2021 on Bikereg.com for only $75 for both days. Single day registration is $60. We will not be offering day-of registration this year. Co-ed duo classes are $75 per person for both days as well. Register here.
Note about those wanting a refund: Sorry, no registration fee refunds for any reason. However, as with all PCPaRC events, if you can't make it, you may assign your registration to whomever you like. Simply log back into your BikeReg account and change the rider information to your replacement before registration closes prior to the event. No need to even contact the promoter.

Duo-Class scoring:  Time based on the second finisher of the Duo Team. Team members MUST finish TOGETHER! Team MEMBERS FINISHING MORE THAN 1 minute apart WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

Aid Stations:  Both days will have ONE aid station on the course at the halfway point for that day's route. If you require something specific, drop bags will be available.
*All left behind aid station articles will be discarded by the Sunday Evening if not picked up. We will not mail or ship any left behind items.

Riders must complete each day’s stage on the same bike they started the day on. However, you can use a different bike on day 1 and day 2. If a rider fails to finish day 1, they can start day two, but will not be eligible for overall awards.

The course and all roads are open to traffic. ALL racers MUST obey all rules of the road along the course, at intersections and road crossings. Racers should yield to all traffic, horses, and should stop at all road crossings where traffic is present. There will be several highway and road crossings with heavy car and truck traffic. There may be an area of the course where the racers will share the road with car and truck traffic. Please keep to the right and ride single file except where passing.

The Fun
On Saturday we've got tons of fun planned in and around Rowlesburg Community Park!
  • Meet the Cheat River Float- organized by local non-profit Friends of Cheat, this annual event is always a blast. For $10, join in on this fun float-trip after the race. Bring your own boat and join for free! If you need a boat, pre-registration through our BikeReg sign-up is required.
  • Youth bike races and games- bring the family and they're guaranteed to have fun while you race! (We'll wrap things up in time to make sure they're at the finish line to cheer you on!)
  • Music & Food- After a fun day of racing and floating the river, you can unwind to music, food, and drinks in the evening.

Check back here for more updates on all the fun we have planned for your stay!
